Tangerine, Ruby Red Grapefruit and Ginger Mocktail

Tangerine, ruby red grapefruit, and ginger mocktails are super simple non-alcoholic drinks to serve on game-day that highlight some of the best fall citrus fruit. Ingredients

Serves 12

Ginger simple syrup

  • 1 cup granulated sugar

  • 1 cup water

  • 1 cup sliced ginger

Mocktail

  • 4 cups orange juice, chilled

  • 3 cups fresh tangerine juice, chilled

  • 1 cup fresh ruby red grapefruit juice, chilled

  • 1 liter ginger ale

  • Ginger simple syrup, to taste

  • Ice

Directions

To make the simple syrup:

  1. Add the sugar and water to a small saucepan.

  2. Bring to a boil over medium-high heat. 

  3. Stir and let boil for 2 minutes or until the sugar dissolves. 

  4. Add the ginger. 

  5. Reduce to a simmer and let simmer for 15 minutes.

  6. Leave to cool for 40 minutes. 

  7. Strain and store in a bottle or jar.

For the mocktails:

  1. Add the orange juice to a pitcher with the tangerine juice, grapefruit juice, and ginger ale. Stir.

  2. Add ginger simple syrup to taste.

  3. Serve over ice.
