Nestled in the Sacramento River Delta, Clarksburg is well known for producing vibrant Chenin Blanc, a late ripening grape and this wine hails from a single vineyard there. The cooling breezes help to maintain fresh acidity, and warm sunny days allow for even ripening. The folks at Sovi were so impressed by this particular lot that they held it back to give it extended aging on its lees for 12 months to develop a creamy texture and nuanced characteristics.
